This festive season brings a massive cultural and musical celebration to the heart of Mpumalanga as the inaugural Mduduzi Ncube Presents Ubuntu Festival prepares to make its debut.

Scheduled for 5 and 6 December 2026 at the scenic Chiliebyte Farm in Ermelo, the two-day event aims to unite families, music lovers, and local communities under the core African philosophy of Ubuntu: unity, humanity, respect, and togetherness.

Inspired by the notable success of the Abaqulusi Ubuntu Festival in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal—which recently celebrated its sixth consecutive year—this new expansion aims to bring that same community-driven magic to Ermelo.

The festival organizers intend to establish a highly welcoming platform that bridges entertainment with economic empowerment for the surrounding regions.

The event is designed to be fully inclusive. A standout feature of the weekend is a dedicated Kids’ Zone, offering free entry for all children under the age of 12.

This initiative directly targets families, ensuring parents can celebrate and enjoy the vibrant cultural experiences alongside their young ones without standard financial barriers.

Beyond the musical lineups and cultural showcases, the festival is opening its doors to local and national enterprises.

Businesses, corporate brands, and creative organizations looking to market their products or services to a diverse crowd are invited to collaborate.

The organizers are currently welcoming inquiries from potential corporate sponsors, advertising networks, and media stakeholders looking to secure a footprint in the celebration.

Members of the local community and neighboring towns are highly encouraged to show their support and purchase tickets early to be a part of this landmark cultural milestone.
