The vibrant celebration of music and culture known as the Kajozi Beach Party has officially been put on hold to prioritize the upcoming National Senior Certificate (Matric) examinations.

Event organizers, Kaygee The Vibe and Kajozi Management, issued a public notice confirming that the Caribbean-themed festival—originally scheduled to kick off this month—has been postponed due to Joint Operations Committee (JOC) compliance rules.

The regulatory directive mandates an undisturbed, quiet, and stable environment for local students across the community during their critical end-of-year examination window.

“As a community-based establishment, Kajozi fully supports this initiative and remains committed to compliance and the well-being of our community,” management shared in an official statement.

Festival organizers have wasted no time in securing an alternative date to keep the momentum going.

The beach-themed festival is now legally rescheduled for 28 November 2026 at its original venue: 605 Moteong Section, Thembisa.

Organizers have assured the public that all pre-purchased tickets and existing hospitality bookings will remain 100% valid for the updated November date.

Despite the sudden scheduling shake-up, the management team apologized for any logistical inconvenience caused and promised to use the extra month to deliver a “bigger, better, and fully JOC-compliant” production.

Attendees eagerly awaiting the event can still look forward to signature beach activities, including water slides, beach volleyball, sandcastle building, and beer pong.

Updated artist line-ups, DJ additions, and further ticketing logistics will be rolled out closer to the new date.
