Moloisane reveals why joining Chiefs was an easy decision

Kaizer Chiefs defender Thabo Moloisane says adapting to life at Amakhosi was never difficult because the club has been part of his life since his development days.

Moloisane is set to face his former club Stellenbosch FC when Chiefs host Stellies in a crucial Betway Premiership clash at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

Speaking to the media on Monday, the 27-year-old explained that his strong connection with Chiefs made the transition much easier.

“I think the first thing, you look out and you see the guys, you see how much of a big club this is,” said Moloisane.

“But for me, what developed the love for me was, because I grew up around here, the only thing that I knew was Kaizer Chiefs.”

Moloisane believes players must genuinely love the club before they can give their best.

“It’s just as important, you know, to not just sign the paper and all that but to love the club first, because when you love the club first, you’ll do your best.”

The defender also knows what it would mean to help bring success to the club he grew up around.

“I know what it would take for me to actually say, ‘hey, I grew up down the road but, at the end of the day, I brought back glory into the team’,” he added.

Moloisane has featured in five Betway Premiership matches for Chiefs this season and will now face the side where he previously made his name.

For the Chiefs defender, Tuesday’s clash is more than just another game against his former club.
