<p>Real name Angel Mkhwanazi from Hendrina in Mpumalanga but now who is based in Ormonde View in the South of Johannesburg shared her chilling story of how her grandmother influenced her music career.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-79944" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023.jpg" alt="" width="1420" height="1420" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023.jpg 1420w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023-300x300.jpg 300w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023-150x150.jpg 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023-768x768.jpg 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023-450x450.jpg 450w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0023-1200x1200.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1420px) 100vw, 1420px" /></p>
<p>&#8220;My passion of singing when I was seven years old. I used to like joining school and church choirs where I used that as an opportunity to express my talent. Since I was raised by my grandmother, I used to love to sing for her. And you could see from her face when I continue singing that she was enjoying my singing. It was very fun having her around but then God had other plans for her,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-79941" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024.webp" alt="" width="1600" height="1600" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024.webp 1600w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-300x300.webp 300w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-1024x1024.webp 1024w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-150x150.webp 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-768x768.webp 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-1536x1536.webp 1536w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-450x450.webp 450w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IMG-20260208-WA0024-1200x1200.webp 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px" /></p>
<p>Angel said her grandmother passed away in December 2020.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&#8221; I was left all alone, with no one to replace her space in my heart. Well, I took the little money that was left and came to Joburg. Believe me when I say I knew no one in Joburg. When I rode the taxi to Orlando I rode it not knowing where I was going, but I told myself that Joburg was my only option where I&#8217;ll be able to pursue my dreams of being a singer.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>I met a lady on the taxi to Orlando and I told her my situation. With her gold heart, she took me to her mothers&#8217; house and told her mother about me, that I didn&#8217;t have a place to sleep. Her mother as well, with her warm heart took me inside her house and treated me like one of her children,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Angel is balancing her music career and her waitressing job to make ends meet.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&#8220;I saved some of the money I was earning for studio fees. Well, I wasn&#8217;t exactly sure where I was gonna find a recording studio as Joburg is a really big place but by God&#8217;s grace, I met people who managed to plug me to the right people,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>She said the Can&#8217;t Stop Dancin is produced by popular Producer Dj Aiburn Sounds who has worked with Makhadzi, Mr Brown, John Delinger, Lady Zamar to mention the few.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&#8221; I recorded my song with them and is now ready for distribution. The song is entitled, &#8220;Can&#8217;t Stop Dancin&#8221;. I&#8217;m a person that loves to sing and dance, so that&#8217;s why I chose a pop genre where I&#8217;ll be singing and dancing with my fans. As I&#8217;ll be releasing Can&#8217;t Stop Dancin&#8217; on the 20th, fans can pre-save the song on their spotify account,&#8221;she said.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Real name Sindisiwe Dlamini, Singer and Songwriter, LaSauce is back and she is now the gender based violence activist after being absent from the music scene for years.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77384" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002.webp" alt="" width="1030" height="1280" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002.webp 1030w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002-241x300.webp 241w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002-824x1024.webp 824w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002-768x954.webp 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002-150x186.webp 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0002-450x559.webp 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1030px) 100vw, 1030px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Known for her hit songs “Emafini,” “Ncese” and the popular sing along “I Do&#8221; where she is featuring Amanda Black, La Sauce is back on the music scene with an anthem against Gender Based Violence (GBV) and advocating the empowerment of women.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77380" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004.webp" alt="" width="1170" height="1373" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004.webp 1170w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-256x300.webp 256w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-873x1024.webp 873w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-768x901.webp 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-150x176.webp 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-450x528.webp 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Her latest single titled Imbokodo’ celebrates the ferocity of women and speaks out against the rising scourge of gender-based violence.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">It was for released on 25 November which coincided with the national annual “16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">The song features one of the country’s legends Yvonne Chaka-Chaka. Another notable feature in the song is vocal poet and podcaster Ntsiki Mazwai who lends her poetic skills in a moving poem complementing La’ Sauce’s sultry voice.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">She said that the song is to remind women of the power they have and not to give up in their fight, “just like the generation that marched back then did.”</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">La Sauce said that she believed that ‘Imbokodo’ is “not a come a come-back song&#8221;.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;I hadn’t left at all. I took a break to learn more about the industry and to set up Ubuntu Foundation, which is a vehicle that I use for one of my passions – women empowerment. The work I have been doing, what I have learned and the song had to come together at some point. The universe spoke. One cannot say I am on a comeback because my online listenership is to this day in the region of six figures,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">La Sauce said that the single forms part of an EP that she will be unpacking in phases to her fans who have been asking her for more music.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;Fans can rest assured of a classic La’ Sauce gem “that I am proud to share with the world. I have put so much work into this project and I can’t wait to have it out there,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"> La Sauce sultry features ballads as well as a “new sound,” and is produced by Vuyo Manike and Ruff1020 who is a partner of Sjava at the 1020 Cartel.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;What is set to get the spotlight on the song is the ‘elephant in the room,” the feature of Mazwai. Given the fact that the theme for this year’s campaign is “UNITE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls,” Mazwai feature and voice brings more relevance as she has and continues to be the victim of online violence.</p>

<p>Born Michael Eugene Archer in Virginia, D’Angelo was celebrated as one of R&amp;B’s most soulful and groundbreaking artists. Known for blending soul, funk, gospel, R&amp;B, and jazz with a hip-hop edge, he helped define the neo-soul movement of the 1990s and 2000s.</p>

<p>His debut album, Brown Sugar (1995), and follow-up Voodoo (2000) earned him critical acclaim and commercial success. The sensual hit Untitled (How Does It Feel) not only won him a Grammy but became a defining moment in R&amp;B history. His third album, Black Messiah (2014), reaffirmed his genius and influence in modern music.</p>

<p>In a statement, D’Angelo’s family expressed their grief, saying, “The shining star of our family has dimmed his light for us in this life. After a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce that Michael D’Angelo Archer, known to his fans as D’Angelo, has been called home.”</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Tributes have poured in from across the music world. Lauryn Hill, his collaborator on Nothing Even Matters, praised his “undeniable beauty and talent” and his portrayal of “strength and sensitivity in Black manhood.” Beyoncé called him a “pioneer of neo-soul who changed and transformed rhythm and blues forever.”</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Musicians such as DJ Premier, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Tyler, The Creator also shared heartfelt tributes, remembering D’Angelo’s unmatched artistry and influence.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Despite his fame, D’Angelo remained a private figure, occasionally re-emerging with new music or surprise performances. His influence spanned generations, inspiring countless artists and even earning a spot on President Barack Obama’s 2016 playlist.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Fans and fellow artists alike remember D’Angelo not just as a musical genius, but as a soulful storyteller whose legacy will continue to shape R&amp;B for years to come.</p>
