Known for his catchy line “Ungab’muhle, ugqok’ kahle, bathathen’ bafana,” the up-and-coming MC and singer is capturing attention with his unique style and crowd-moving presence.

Born Nkosivela Luthuli from Mlalazi in Eshowe on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal, Madansa says his journey into the spotlight started unexpectedly.

“One time there was an event and the booked MC was nowhere to be found, so I stepped in and took over,” he said.

That moment sparked a passion that is now shaping his career.

Madansa has since built connections within the entertainment space, rubbing shoulders with well-known personalities such as Phakel’umthakathi, businessman Khulekani Hlabisa, DJ Nkugza The General, Sthixo Da Deejay and MC Spikili.

But beyond the spotlight, his mission runs deeper.

“My main vision is to empower local artists. I have seen that many people do not want to give others a chance, and that is something I want to change,” he said.

Now, he is taking things to the next level with the upcoming Madansa Music Festival, which he hopes will become a platform for undiscovered talent.

“I have seen that in most cases local artists are struggling, and I want to change that mentality,” he added.

Madansa also revealed that his inspiration comes from industry figures who are versatile and fearless.

“My role model is Leehleza. He is able to do anything, anytime,” he said.

With growing influence and a clear mission, MC Madansa is not just building a brand, but a movement aimed at uplifting local talent while getting South Africans dancing.
