<p style="text-align: center;">Real name Nokwanda Zulu (21) from Madwaleni in Nquthu in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), Okwanda is grateful to be born and bred in the area which is rich with legendary maskandi artists.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77414" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0007.jpg" alt="" width="709" height="1027" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0007.jpg 709w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0007-207x300.jpg 207w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0007-707x1024.jpg 707w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0007-150x217.jpg 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0007-450x652.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 709px) 100vw, 709px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Okwanda who is very proud of being a rural girl from Madwaleni in Nquthu but who is now based in Moddernfontein in Johannesburg.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">She said that working with both Musiholiq and Sir Trill was a dream come true for her and her latest single titled Confession will prove her arrival in the music industry.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Okwanda and Sir Trill team up in early November and released a song called Phatha Phatha.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77412" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0008.jpg" alt="" width="720" height="898" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0008.jpg 720w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0008-241x300.jpg 241w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0008-150x187.jpg 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251206-WA0008-450x561.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;It was very exciting and working with them was a dream come true. Sir Trill is one of the people who motivated me to become another top artist in the country while Musiholiq is very passionate in what he does an treats me like his younger sister. I&#8217;m grateful that I approached him and he has given me the opportunity to live my dream,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Okwanda who grew up under the guardianship of both her parents said that she always knew that one day she will make it as a musician.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;I was brought up with respect and humility. My father and mother made sure that they preach respect and that that education comes first. My family is everything to me, they supported me from day one. I&#8217;m still blessed that I still have all my both mother and father my relatives,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Okwanda said that on Friday she will release another single titled Confession under First Class Entertainment which is owned by Inkabi Records artist MusiholiQ.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;I&#8217;m not here to compete with anyone. The cake is big for all us to feed into it. We just have to give each other a chance to do what we do best which is singing. I&#8217;m very proud of being born and bred in Nquthu because everything that I know today I learnt it back at home. I started writing and singing at a young age. When I turned 15, I realized that I have to stop writing and singing in English.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;This is when I decided that I use my mother tongue. It is working big time for me and people love my music. I&#8217;m over the moon. I found a family value and respect my background and I&#8217;m what I am today because of thw teachings from Nquthu. Confessionis a song about two people who are friends and one of them want to confess their feelings towards the other. It&#8217;s just motivating other to speak up if they have feelings for their friends,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Okwanda wants to also pursue a career as the Mechanical Engineer in 2026 while owning the stage.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Real name Sindisiwe Dlamini, Singer and Songwriter, LaSauce is back and she is now the gender based violence activist after being absent from the music scene for years.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Known for her hit songs “Emafini,” “Ncese” and the popular sing along “I Do&#8221; where she is featuring Amanda Black, La Sauce is back on the music scene with an anthem against Gender Based Violence (GBV) and advocating the empowerment of women.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77380" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004.webp" alt="" width="1170" height="1373" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004.webp 1170w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-256x300.webp 256w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-873x1024.webp 873w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-768x901.webp 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-150x176.webp 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251205-WA0004-450x528.webp 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Her latest single titled Imbokodo’ celebrates the ferocity of women and speaks out against the rising scourge of gender-based violence.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">It was for released on 25 November which coincided with the national annual “16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">The song features one of the country’s legends Yvonne Chaka-Chaka. Another notable feature in the song is vocal poet and podcaster Ntsiki Mazwai who lends her poetic skills in a moving poem complementing La’ Sauce’s sultry voice.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">She said that the song is to remind women of the power they have and not to give up in their fight, “just like the generation that marched back then did.”</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">La Sauce said that she believed that ‘Imbokodo’ is “not a come a come-back song&#8221;.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;I hadn’t left at all. I took a break to learn more about the industry and to set up Ubuntu Foundation, which is a vehicle that I use for one of my passions – women empowerment. The work I have been doing, what I have learned and the song had to come together at some point. The universe spoke. One cannot say I am on a comeback because my online listenership is to this day in the region of six figures,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">La Sauce said that the single forms part of an EP that she will be unpacking in phases to her fans who have been asking her for more music.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;Fans can rest assured of a classic La’ Sauce gem “that I am proud to share with the world. I have put so much work into this project and I can’t wait to have it out there,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"> La Sauce sultry features ballads as well as a “new sound,” and is produced by Vuyo Manike and Ruff1020 who is a partner of Sjava at the 1020 Cartel.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;What is set to get the spotlight on the song is the ‘elephant in the room,” the feature of Mazwai. Given the fact that the theme for this year’s campaign is “UNITE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls,” Mazwai feature and voice brings more relevance as she has and continues to be the victim of online violence.</p>
