Chiefs face four ex-stars as former Amakhosi plot their downfall!
Kaizer Chiefs face a potentially painful reunion when they host Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.
Four former Amakhosi players are in the Stellenbosch starting XI and will be hoping to haunt their old club.
Given Msimango, George Matlou, Ashley Du Preez and Njabulo Blom are starting against Chiefs as Gavin Hunt’s side look to spoil the party for the Soweto giants.
Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz will be counting on his players to deliver at home, but the presence of four familiar faces in the opposition camp adds an extra twist to this encounter.
The match kicks off at 7:30pm, with three other Betway Premiership clashes taking place across the country as domestic football returns following the international break and the MTN8 final.
Four matches to watch tonight
While Chiefs prepare for Stellenbosch, Orlando Pirates will be looking to bounce back from their 2-0 MTN8 final defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns when they host TS Galaxy at Orlando Amstel Arena.
Galaxy are without their coach Bernard Parker who is facing the axe following a run of poor results.
Sundowns, meanwhile, travel to face Richards Bay at Princess Magogo Stadium, while Durban City take on AmaZulu at Chatsworth Stadium.
All four matches kick off at 7:30pm.
