Tsaka RSA denied bail, remains behind bars as case postponed

POLOKWANE: Lekompo musician and social media personality Nkgodisheng Paul Madubanya, popularly known as Tsaka RSA, has been denied bail at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on 06 November 2026

Madubanya will remain behind bars following the court’s decision, as he faces four charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, failure to keep a firearm in a prescribed safe and statutory rape.

The 29-year-old was arrested on 9 October 2026 at his residence in Rethabile Gardens, Polokwane, where police allegedly recovered a 9mm Norinco pistol with its serial number filed off, together with live ammunition.

The State had raised concerns during the bail proceedings, including the possibility of further offending and potential interference with a complainant.

His defence had previously challenged aspects of the State’s case and argued for his release on bail worth R10 000.00

The matter has since been postponed to 15 January 2027 for further proceedings.
