ANC NEC Member Mmamoloko Kubayi Open to Live Debate with March and March Movement Leader
African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) member Mmamoloko Kubayi has publicly expressed her willingness to participate in a live debate following a challenge issued by the March and March Movement. Kubayi’s confirmation came after a social media report noted that she had yet to receive the formal invitation from the group.
The political challenge was first reported by KZN Tonight Podcast. According to the initial report, the March and March Movement issued the challenge to a live broadcast debate against their leader, Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma.
The movement alleges that Kubayi publicly referred to their members as “anarchists” during a political dispute.
The group specified that the broadcast should take place within seven days following the local government elections.
Responding to a screenshot of the news update on social media, Kubayi clarified that she had not been directly reached regarding the matter.
“Where did they send this challenge and request? I haven’t received it myself,” Kubayi stated, adding an open invitation for the organizers to deliver the request correctly. “Please help by sending it to the right place, I will respond.”
The March and March Movement has yet to publicly clarify through which official channels the original challenge was dispatched.
