Emtee Records Dumps Manager Hlubi Radebe, Announces New Management Contact
South African hip-hop artist Mthembeni Ndevu, popularly known as Emtee, has officially cut professional ties with his manager, Hlubi Radebe.
The announcement was made through a public notice issued by his stable, Emtee Records, signaling an immediate shake-up in the rapper’s executive camp.
According to the official document, Radebe is no longer authorized to conduct any business transactions, manage public relations, or book performances on behalf of either the artist or the record label.
“With immediate effect, all booking requests, business communications, and general enquiries relating to Emtee or Emtee Records should be directed to Emtee Records Management,” the statement reads.
The move marks a sudden conclusion to a management partnership that began earlier this year.
Radebe had previously served as a primary spokesperson for the rapper, notably managing press statements during Emtee’s high-profile legal matters and bail hearings.
While the record label has not openly disclosed the specific reasons prompting the separation, industry insiders point to recent financial friction and restructuring within the independent imprint.
Moving forward, Emtee Records has consolidated its administrative duties under a new representative named Vanessa.
The label has advised all stakeholders, promoters, and media houses to update their directories and directly verify any pending event contracts through their newly designated hotline (+27 82 642 6075) or official email ([email protected]).
