High Court Ruling Opens Door to Public Scrutiny Over eThekwini Water Crisis
In a significant legal development handed down in the High Court in Durban this morning regarding the DA’s billboard case, the court has ruled in favor of public accountability.
The ruling grants the Democratic Alliance (DA) and its leadership full authority to publicly criticize the performance of the eThekwini Municipality mayor and city leadership. The court cited their failure to effectively manage and control the severe water crisis plaguing eThekwini.
